Redesigning RTA Chicago
The Regional Transporation Authority is a government agency created by the State of Illinois to coordinate the Chicago region’s transit system. DHD partnered with the RTA to rebuild and design a fresh new experience for the rtachicago.org website. The site featured a number of key improvements, such as: a bold new look, based on a new branding initiative. The site was migrated from Drupal and built on Craft CMS, a new content management system. DHD updated the navigation and improved the overall content structure. We also focused on Mobile compatibility – WCAG accessibility compliance, and built a comprehensive archive for blog articles and meetings. The meeting archive empowered users to view meeting agendas, watch videos and download related presentations.
Our meticulous attention to detail, and a collaborative process, enabled us to complete the project within budget and ahead of schedule. Not only was the RTA thrilled with the new site, but it improved their ability to organize and publish content exponentially.
